We offer personalised support through our dedicated caseworkers. They'll assess your needs, connect you with relevant charities, and ensure you get the continuous help you deserve to enable you to take charge of your future.
3. EDUCATION & RESETTLEMENT
We help veterans find their next career move. Explore job openings, identify skill gaps and access training programs. We partner with major employers and help you translate your military skills and qualities for civilian success.
4. HOMELESS & ROUGH SLEEPERS
We can offer immediate support for veterans in need, providing essentials like food and clothing. We also help veterans secure stable housing for the long term through a program that includes life skills training, job training, and interview coaching.

Get ready, Plymouth! Our new veterans hub is set to open its doors later this year. This dedicated service will ensure that those who have served our country receive the support they deserve. A wide array of resources and assistance will be available and tailored to the unique challenges faced by veterans transitioning to civilian life.
From job placement services and counselling to social activities and securing housing, PL1 Civvy Street aims to provide a welcoming environment where veterans can find the support and guidance they need to thrive beyond their military service.
Fundraising Gala
Simon Weston CBE, Former Welsh Guardsman
When the RFA Sir Galahad was destroyed in the Bluff Cove Air Attack during the Falklands War in 1982, on board was Welsh Guardsman Simon Weston. He was severely injured in the attack and sustained serious burns to 46% of his body.
Simon has since become a well-known figure across the UK and abroad for his struggle to overcome his injuries and redefine his role in life. His message is one of achievement, triumph in the face of adversity, and seizing the moment and succeeding.

Former Royal Marine
Toby was only 24 when he was shot through the neck in 2009 while operating behind enemy lines in Afghanistan. He survived despite not breathing for at least 20 minutes. Back in the UK, doctors recommended that his life support machine be switched off, but with the defiant spirit that would define his recovery, he pulled through.
Now quadriplegic, capable of movement only with his head, Toby has rebuilt his life. His is an extraordinary story of survival against overwhelming odds and the human spirit's power to overcome extreme adversity.

Former BBC Radio Devon Presenter
A popular and well-known figure in the southwest of the country, we are delighted to announce that ‘Fitz’ will be our master of ceremonies at the gala.
He began broadcasting on commercial radio in the early 1980s before moving to television. Working first at TSW and then Anglia Television, Fitz moved to Sky News in the mid-1990s and was at the forefront of nearly every major disaster for nine years. He went on to work for BBC Radio Devon, presenting The Interactive Lunch and occasionally appearing on Spotlight, the evening news programme.

Singer and Songwriter
The talented Rose Kimberley will be our lounge singer at the event. Her voice has a naturally warm tone and is known for her strong emotional delivery.
Rose has been singing and songwriting since she was 16. After graduating from Roehampton University in 2006, Rose moved from Cornwall to Surrey to pursue a career in music with her co-writer and brother George. A natural performer, Rose likes to keep a relaxed environment during her performance while giving the audience plenty of reason to listen.
